KAI

KAI is the Hawaiian word for ocean. The rich textures and movements of the ocean’s surface come alive through the oldest of all techniques — pinching. The depths of the Pacific are captured in black clay. Occasionally a fin slips through the waves, as golden sunlight kisses the edges.

Material: Gold luster, Black clay, clear glaze interior. 10” / 25 cm H.
